Nice spiciness and tasty forest fruit and cherries. Ripe attack with a pleasant sweetness. Juicy, with again cherries. Pleasant bitterness and grape tannins.
Serving tip:
This wine is best enjoyed chilled to 13–15°C (55–59°F).
Place the bottle in the fridge for about 1 to 1.5 hours before serving, or chill it in an ice bucket for 20–30 minutes.
Serving it at the right temperature brings out its fresh, fruity character and silky texture.
About the Vineyards Origin
The vineyards are located in the southernmost tip of the Pfalz and benefit from a unique microclimate in the area. A maritime, mild climate influenced by the Atlantic Ocean, with relatively little rainfall and mostly western, Atlantic winds. Summers are typically warm and sunny. In the western part of the wine-growing region, the Haardt Mountains protect the grapes from cold eastern winds in winter and retain warmth in summer. This ensures optimal ripening of the grapes.
